Alba means dawn: the first light on a problem. We exist to close the gap between promising technology and systems that work for real industries, on real data, under real constraints.

Who we are

Researchers and engineers in one team

Too many AI and blockchain projects stall between the pilot and the production system. Research teams produce slides; delivery teams inherit ideas that were never tested. We built alba.one to do both.

Our team combines machine-learning researchers, blockchain engineers, data engineers and domain specialists. We work directly with the people who own the problem, and you talk to the people writing the code.

We are deliberately independent of any cloud, chain or model vendor. That lets us recommend what fits — including simpler, cheaper options — and it keeps our clients free to change course as the technology moves.

We are based in Nairobi and work with organisations across Africa and beyond, where designing for patchy connectivity, mobile-first users and diverse regulation is the normal starting point.
